Question for transcripts and applicant status

I'm an international students taking A-level. I apply as a freshman.

Today my application tracker shows that I still lack my official high school transcript and college transcript. It also displays me as an applicant for transfer student in undergraduate courses because I fill in the A-level subject under college courses when I apply. Is there a misunderstanding by the admission office since I apply as a freshman? And should I mail the transcripts via email or mail? In The applicant tracker it shows that all missing materials are supposed to be mailed to the admission office but I'm afraid mailing would take a long time.

A levels is equivalent to high school, not college. Call the admissions office and sort it out before its too late.

Thanks for your prompt answer, I am already writing an email to them. I believe the admission office made a mistake because a lady actually asked me to try filling in the A-level subjects in the post-secondary education column although the format will not match. Do you mind if I ask if you also took any high school equivalent courses like A-level or IB? Just wondering if there is any other pre-u students asked to present the college transcripts.

Under my missing materials are

1)Official college transcript with fall term 2013 grades
2)Official final high school transcript, including date of graduation
3)Official Transcript from xxxxxx University

Argand - I agree that you should talk with or email an admission counselor to make sure they understand you want to apply as a freshman. Here is a link to international freshman requirements. Maybe there is something on this link that will help you to explain your concern to admissions.
The admission officer has replied me and my applicant status is now an international freshman. I’m still puzzled that my missing materials remain unchanged. It shows that I have uploaded my unofficial international secondary school transcripts, but at the same time I still lack an official high school transcript, including date of graduation. Any ideas why my earlier submission is considered unofficial?

I wish I knew the answers to your questions. Have you verified with your high school that they sent the transcripts? Maybe they are referring to your “final” transcript and graduation date which obviously cannot be sent until you have graduated.

I’m not aware that my secondary school needs to send such transcripts. Is yours sent via mail or email? Finals in my country is a national examination and the result slip only shows grades without GPA. So I suppose I should ask my school to submit the verified graduation certificate and my result slip electronically ?

I meant “final” as in the transcript of your coursework after completion (graduation). Have you graduated? If yes, then your school should send in the information.

I’ve graduated from secondary school but still haven’t finish my A-level,another high school equivalent course although credits are given upon my completion. Transcripts of my coursework after graduation are only referring to courses that are uni-equivalent right? In that sense, should I inform the U to not request for missing materials #1 and #3? Also does international high school send the transcripts via mail or email?

Argand, I do not know the correct answers to your questions. I think you really need to communicate directly with the university.

Kajon, I’m happy to tell you that after a couple of emails sent, the university has considered my application as complete now without any further submission. I shall be receiving a notification before Feb 1st. Any idea how long the actual wait might be?
