They say that they will contact before June 30...but most articles I've read say that schools go to the "hot" pile and start phoning at the beginning of May.

C'est la vie that I wasn't in the hot pile- but has anyone heard of them calling late in the season?

Also- is there a dramatic shift for phone contact? I have yet to call them by phone...Sent a letter and several emails though!

Anyways- anyone know about transferring opportuntiess?

They made a first round of WL offers in May. They are now assesing the response and there will probably be a limited number of offers made either late this week or next week. Find out who the admissions officer is for your area (the admissions office can tell you if you don't know) and give them a call. At this stage it may well help your WL status. Express interest and let them know that if offered a spot you will accept and from what I undersatnd from your post - let them know if you are not looking for financial aid. Worth a shot.

Thank you so much! I will call tommorrow- Ah well. Was actually planning on flying down there If I could muster it...don't know if it would help:/

Stay with the call, show enthusiasm and do it as quickly as possible. By the time you flew to WashU, I doubt they would be making any more offers for WL. This second round will probably fill out the class. Sorry if I misread your post about financial aid, from your post on the other thread - probably best if you don't mention it. Good luck.

CALL - e-mails don't give the feeling of human contact. The recipient has no idea who you are. They can identify with a voice and it may be just the thing that has them push for you. Remember your area admissions rep is your advocate and the one that either will or will not be pushing for you.

...one of the first levels of negotiation- always maintain eye contact- even through walls :-D

The admissions rep for my last name changed...that is possibly a sign that they are over with wait-list...but I still have hope! Never give up hope-even to the last breath. I'm wondering If I should call the other representative...or if it is too late? I guess I could call and talk about transferring options.

Darn- called too late- no one is in...is leaving a message kosher?

"Pursuing a career in business today means preparing yourself for an ever-changing world, reaching into new markets, adopting new technologies, and crossing the boundaries between traditional disciplines. Success in this environment depends, to a great extent, on your ability to be versatile, to communicate, to think globally and to be creative in applying business principles to new realities."- Olin School of Business BSBA...love this statement. http://www.olin.wustl.edu/prospective/bsba.cfm

They switched some of the reps a little while ago - has nothing to do with WL. If your rep changed (it usually goes by state not by name) I would call both of the reps. The more admissions people that know you are interested, the better off you are. As I previously posted, you should have called this week. If you did not, at least call first thing Monday morning.

Hey, I was going to call friday but like Fran I called too late. I'm calling tomorrow and now I'm really worried because I don't really know what to say to reaffirm my interest.

Well, I got ahold of admissions but its wasn't my processor(apparently it went directly to admissions) and I never found the spot to say my name.

Fren have you reached your processor yet and if you having what does letter does your last name start with. I'm trying to figure out if this is just a problem with one person.

Nope- they are always "unable to reach" the phone. I've sent emails- always got a response from J Raphael...Assistant Director of Admissions. Hmm. Maybe If I contact my processor directly and ask about programs etc.?
