<p>they gave away ipods because they wanted to encourage innovation in using technology to enhance learning. a lot of people said that we should've used the money for better things, but the fact is that duke pitched the project to the government for this specific project; the money was given to us FOR the ipod experiment thing, it's not like we could use it for anything we wanted.</p>
