<p>I do not know if I was admitted yet, but I was curious about appealing to a UC in general (if I am denied to Davis then specific.)
I know in order to appeal, you must present some new information. Would this include personal experiences that occurred between now and when you turned in your application? In January, my stepmother attempted (and was almost successful) suicide, and I/we have overcome this ordeal. Would this be worth presenting a letter of appeal on? I’m not waving this information around trying to share my business everywhere, but I’m kind of desperate… I made the huge mistake of not applying to enough schools.

<p>I don’t think that it would be a good idea to use that story (though it is a very important life event) because it occurred after the application date. If it had occurred your soph/junior year, then it would be worth writing in about. My one suggestion is that you could maybe write about her “demise” (sorry, I’m not sure of a better word!) and how you overcame the issues caused. Good luck, and I’m sure you’ll get in somewhere you love. I’m in the same boat! (not enough schools!) (:</p>
