Question on household size and dislocated worker

I just spent couple hours searching prior threads and I am as confused as before. I hope good people here on CC will be able to answer my 2 simple questions.

  1. Household size - is it 3 or 4? 2 parents, 2 kids. Trying to project EFC for 2019-2020 academic year, will submit FAFSA in October this year. FAFSA is for younger kid. Older kid should graduate in May 2019. FAFSA asks about continuing support (over 50%) during 2019-2020 academic year. The answer is I don’t know. I hope he will graduate on time and get a job and support himself, so it should be 3. But he might come home and live with us, in which case it’s 4. Somehow I think that since millions of parents go through it every year, there must be standard answer to that question, unless I am completely missing something.
  2. Dislocated worker. We checked that box first time ever on 2018-2019 FAFSA. Do I continue checking that box for the next 3 years, or can the parent be only dislocated once on FAFSA, and then be considered either retired or unemployed in subsequent years?

Thanks so much!
