What title says. I am wondering that when you submit your app, do you usually/always get to choose how you will list the rigor of courses taken or do you always/usually have to list every course you have taken? I'm confused as to what one usually does in that sense.

Schools I'm interested in are UW, whitman, WSU (safety), University of Idaho, and any Ivy (just for fun even though I wont get in with my stats).

YOU don't list the rigor of your classes. Your courses will be listed on your transcript (fr-jr) and application (sr). Your GC will both: 1) rate the rigor of your coursework; and 2) send in your HS profile which lists, among other things, how gpa's are calculated and a full list of courses offered at your school. The AOs look at what you've taken and what's offered at your school, and consider the GC's evaluation when assessing the rigor of your schedule.

There's a place on the CA to list college courses and you will send in official college transcripts as well. For non-HS courses, you should always send in a copy of the course description from the course catalog or other source.

For some schools, you simply list the college courses in the same section as the high school courses and then there is a designation to indicate they were college courses; so instead of putting "AP" or "IB" next to the class, you would put "CC" or whatever the application instructions tell you to do. For other schools, you list each school and the classes you took there separately: high schools attended, colleges attended, etc.
