Question on studying for SAT.

Is it better to study one section (Math, CR, Writing) at a time until you get to your goal or each section equality. I been studying math for the past 3 months i got to a 690, i started of with a 590 on my first practice test i took during the summer ( my goal on the SAT is a 2000 +)

Also i am very worried on time. I am taking the May SAT next year and only have 5 months left. Is 5 months enough to get to a 2000 +? I will start studying 2-4 hours a day starting in December. For the past couple of months i only been doing a math section a day with 20 flashcards a week. If i cant get to my goal in time i can always take the June SAT, but i would rather get it over with in May so i can study for finals.. Also i will take the SAT again next Oct or Nov.

Thanks for the help!!

Yes you should be fine. For me personally, I focused on one subject at a time but every two/three weeks I did a full length exam to practice pacing and track my overall progress. During the month before my test, I would finish a practice test every two/three days. From the information above, a 2000+ score is very realistic for you as long as you keep on practicing.
