Question reg. Common App.

I hope to transfer to Emory for the Fall of 2013. Although the deadline is May 1st, 2013, for Transfer students, I've started looking at what I'll need to submit.

I came across the Academics section in the Common App. and frankly, I was startled.

I did terrible on my ACT while in high school (24,26,24) and I have been studying for the last to take the SAT sometime in Jan. of 2013. I am taking the SAT instead of the ACT merely because I have already taken the ACT thrice.

Is there anything wrong with that? Or does anyone think I should take the ACT again?

So my problem lies with stating those scores. Do I have to? I have never "officially" turned them in to Emory through collegeboard, but must I write down my three scores regardless?

Also, my AP scores. I had the highest average in AP. Bio, and AP Macro, and I had an A in AP English and AP Government. However, I made a 2 on all of them except for AP Bio in which I made a 1. :(
Do I need to write those scores down as well?

I am aiming for a 33 ACT equivalent on the SAT in Jan. The main reason why I did bad on the ACT was because I had just moved from India that August of 2011, so I was rushed to take the ACT, without much preparation.

Will my AP scores and my ACT scores lower my chances of getting in? Do I even need to report them on the common application to begin with?

Also, will there be a chance for me to explain my situation to them? (I Moved to India and studied there from grades 9-12)

there is a spot on the commonapp to put your test scores, but schools require actual reports from either collegeboard or act.

yes, there is a chance for you to explain your situation. there is a part where you can upload another document for special circumstances or more info you need to get through to the admissions office.
