Question regarding ACT writing required colleges.

I am wondering if I could submit 2 ACT scores to college where it requires ACT w/ writing... I could not take ACT writing section for the last one, because I had to go somewhere ASAP after the test(Although I signed up it). I am wondering this because the ACT i took(w/o writing) happens to have highest score(I didn't expect this to happen, I only took it because I couldn't refund it.) compared to my previous 2 ACTs. I also thought I didn't need to take another one because I was consistently receiving same writing scores on all standardized tests(Even on SAT).. I will also be doing early actions for some schools and if I can't do this, I will be forced to send in my 28 score instead of 30...

My ACT scores
[Composite][English/Math/Reading/Science/Writing]
1st-[27][27/26/26/27/8]
2nd-[28][28/29/26/27/8]
3rd-[30][28/33/29/31/none]

I would send in the last two.

It depends what schools you are talking about. We were at a forum for 4 colleges, all of whom required the writing section. Their admissions officers indicated that they will not consider any scores that are for the ACT without writing. At least one of the schools on the forum was a school that superscored, but they said they will not superscore your non-writing ACT in with the ACT plus writing. They will only accept ACT plus writing scores.

Someone else can chime in if they have heard something different. Now, if a school does not require the writing, your 3rd score is, of course, the srongest.

Schools will not want to see your test w/out writing… just send the 28 it’s actually a good score. It’s 90 Percentile not much of a difference from a 30… Good luck!
