<p>I was reading your posts and everyone keeps saying they will be notified on the 8th but according to the email, decisions should be out on the 9th: </p>

<p>Its the same. I called them. Check after 5PM</p>
<p>UF always releases decisions right after 5pm on a Friday. Fewer chances of confrontation and disgruntled parents threatening legal dispute at that time.</p>
<p>yeah 5pm = ) on a friday, that means admissions closed sat and sunday and they can take a breather. that also means parents get a cooler head</p>
<p>I dont know what I would do if I get rejected....</p>

<p>I know UF said they'd notify you after 5:00 pm, but try checking earlier than 5:00 pm on the 8th. Last year, I checked my son's e-mail during the day while he was at school, and I knew he had been accepted before he came home from school that day. I didn't let on that I knew, because I didn't want to spoil the fun and surprise for him. </p>
<p>Another thing I remember from last year, is that some people on CC were frantic because it was way after 5:00 pm, and they hadn't received their e-mail yet. Some didn't hear until 7 or 8 pm. Eventually, everybody on the board did hear that night.</p>

<p>well, if rejection occurs, you could always transfer</p>
<p>i never got any email saying when i would be notified. i found out from a friend who did recieve the email and then i called the admissions office and they told me not to worry about not recieving the email but is this a bad sign?? will the admissions status be on my check status page or home email or what?? i am worried now..torture indeed..</p>
