Question regarding transferring to UCI through TAG.

I'm going to be a first year CC student and I'm planning to transfer to UCI by fall 2013. I have a couple questions regarding a couple details in the UCI TAG requirements. I'm interested in transferring as a Biological Science major and the requirements for it follows.

Biological Sciences

Complete 60 semester or 90 quarter UC transferable units prior to the start of the intended quarter

Meet all course requirements for UC admission with a minimum grade of C or better, unless otherwise specified

Have a cumulative UC transferable GPA of 3.0 (3.2 for TAG)

Complete one year of general chemistry with laboratory with a B or better in each course

Complete one year of biology courses with laboratory equivalent to UC Irvine's BIO SCI 93 and 94 with a grade of C or better in each course

(TAG Applicants: any two courses required for the major need to be completed with required grades by the summer prior to the TAG submission period)

My question is about the details in the parentheses. Is it saying I have to complete the general chemistry and biology requirements before the TAG submission period? So I need to finish both requirements in one year? Right now I'm taking a pre-requisite coarse to even do general chemistry, so it would take me three semesters to finish my general chemistry requirement, which is well after the TAG submission period. Am I ineligible for the UCI TAG for Biological Sciences at this rate?

You need to complete two of the four courses required by the end of summer term before you apply for TAG.
