HI first off I want to congratulate all of those who were accepted ED. Now back to my question. I want to do econ at columbia, and I was wondering which school I would apply to. I think it would be Columbia College, but im not 100% positive, can anyone confirm/deny this?

yeah, it's CC

if its strictly econ, then CC. but if ur into math related stuff, finance, and calc all factoring into business, the operations research for SEAS is good, its where im going!

well I want to eventually do my MBA and go into a finance related field, so would you suggest applying to the College, or to Engineering and Applied Sciences?

You can also do an operations research-econ major in CC, or a math-econ major, or an applied math-econ major.
In SEAS, you will have a sommewhat different core curriculum, since it's essentially for engineers. In CC, you will have a more humanities-based core. So, it's really a matter of which curriculum you want. You can take the same math, econ, finance-related classes in both.

but i heard the operation research field is dying out and there arent many people hiring students that has that major. Any comments?
