What to apply?

Alright people, I need your input on this! Where should I apply to columbia? CC or Fu? Cuz I have no idea what I want to major in, in columbia! How easy would it be to switch around, i.e. cc->fu or fu->cc? What would be the easiest major to get into in fu, undecided? What about CC in general? I am trying to more on the sciences or math or business or econ if it is CC. Thanks in advanced for your input!!!

bump...... bump

since cc is liberal arts, there are many more options than in fu. i don't think there is very much intra-school transferring, and in both schools you have a pretty rigorous core. if you're in cc you can major in science subjects or econ, but if you're in seas you cant major in history or econ (i dont think there's a business major at columbia). that's just my opinion.

Do you want to major in engineering or do you want a science?

I want to major in what ever I cant get into!!!!!!

umm.... what?
do you mean the grass is always greener on the other side?
i dont know anything about engineering, but it seems to me if you want to be an engineer, going to engineer school for undergrad is the way to go. but if you want to be a biophysicist or an architect, going to a liberal arts school like cc for undergrad and then a top notch university may be the way to go.

I have the exact same question.

CC offers a Bach. of Arts but not Science while FU offers the Science. ......I don't want to go into engineering but i want a BS.... so i still don't know which one to apply to. (i've been doing it for CC.... but i'm confused lol) Help?

hmm, it may be that columbia is not the right place for you, regardless cc or seas. why don't you talk to one of the admissions officers or deans from cc and seas? they could probably help you more with the fine details of a b.a. in science from cc over a b.s. from seas.

Chibi, it really doesn't matter whether your diploma says BA or BS. A chemistry or physics degree from Columbia is just as good as a chemistry or physics degree from any school in the nation that happens to call it a BS. Don't worry about this at all

o0o ok thankx to both of you.

scarfmadness--yea i dont think columbia is for me either... but i'm applying anyways lol.... =T

Um, hm. Well.

That, uh ... doesn't make much sense?

wait, i beleive CC offers a BS

on their programs n schools .pdf. file, it says that CC only offers a BA.

Only a BA in CC.

u know what, nevermind.... i decided not to apply to columbia at all.... i might regret it later when i get rejected from all my other schools... but watever lol. Columbia prolly isnt right for me and i wouldnt get in anyways.

thankx for the info though! =)
