Question to All SCEAers?

So I saw that many people who applied SCEA applied for science/engineering type majors and many had completed research. I wanted to ask those who did if they sent supplemental materials, and if they did if they sent in the full paper or just the abstract? I am applied under RD and sent in the full paper and I wanted to see if sending in supplemental materials has a positive impact on admission (deferred being positive too, bc deferred means you are still almost in).

Full report. It screwed me over because my reg rep got ****ed off. (I'm pretty sure)

and deferred is not almost in. Unless you define almost in as a chance in twenty, in which case I would need to give you a BIG BEAR HUG.

I did a social science research but decided not to send anything in. Instead, my history teacher praised it in his letter. I think it's better that way because the level of research at Yale is so high there's no way mine can work for me in any way. I thought it might even backfire...

I was accepted as math/science major (physics), with no research or anything at all. I cancleled the AP Physics test due to the fact that I screwed it up pretty badly, and never took SAT Physics (or any SAT science). My point is that they see so many test scores and research and other crap that they aren't impressed by it anymore. I think that an essay that shows character (a good side of your character) will make the difference, and that sending research and stuff like that (remember, you are just a highschool KID, you don't need to pretend that you are an expert in some field, the whole point of Yale is to learn) just makes you seem bigheaded (a bad side of your character).

^^I certainly did not want to seem like a bighead, it is just that I spent considerable amounts of time doing research on my own from seventh grade to 11th grade, and research and my love of science was a pervasive part of my application. I realize that they will probably look at it and laugh, but I wanted to show them that I was committed and determined to work toward my passion. It was not kiddie work (many ppl have probably already seen it, but it was about the probability for photons to undergo quantum tunneling) I just wanted to show that I did something as it was my principal EC that I mentioned. SO hopefully it just shows them that I was committed to something :/

OneKingOneLife, could I ask what you mean that your report messed you over?
