<p>How important is it to have taken Math 111 beforehand? On the course descrip for Econ200 it says that having taken Math 111 is recommended. I've taken up to pre-calc in HS but I only placed into Math 111 :(, but I'm not going to be taking it in the same quarter. Sry if my post seems confusing.</p>
<p>Well, although I got Econ credit through AP Econ, if it is anything like the class I took, which I assume it is, there is very little math involved with basic economics. You will have to sketch graphs with barely any accuracy and any calculations you may need can easily be done in your head.</p>

<p>I’m not in a FIG so you definitely won’t be alone (although I am doing EFS). But anyway, if your plan is to switch into Econ 200, jump on that because I just switched into it and most of the classes were full.</p>
<p>You don’t need much math at all for Econ 200. Just know how to add, multiply, divide and sometimes even subtract numbers while working with the supply and demand model.</p>
