Question

I’m applying ED II to Bates. I have strong grades, good essays, recs, a good interview (I think), decent, interesting ec’s (not extraordinary or so unique) etc. I won’t be submitting SATs- which I believe will hurt me. I have also taken 5 AP classes out of 8 offered at my school. I wasn’t able to take AP foreign language because it conflicted with another AP class. (this will be explained by my guidance counselor) I couldn’t take AP chem because I took AP Bio and physics instead and also wasn’t offered AP world. Of course, I doubt the school will really realize all of this. Do you people think 5 AP classes are enough for Bates? (The rest honors classes) Do accepted people at Bates tend to take many more AP classes? Any input whatsover would be greatly appreciated! (Also, any thoughts concerning my not submitting SATs would also help)
