I!

In my own experience, I was admitted to UCR and Cal Poly Pomona as a freshman straight out from high school. I submitted SIR to Cal Poly Pomona. It was such a long story but anyways, I didn't register class at Cal Poly Pomona but decided to attend in a community college. Two years later (which is now), I was admitted to all good schools that I applied including UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, USC and so on... the bottom line is: UCLA is my dream school and I don't want to give up my dream; I go with my heart and achieve my goal!

tear kevin, that makes me feel better about my decision (of not going to sfsu and following my heart lol) glad to know it worked out for u

ahhh have i ever experienced that! i NEVER thought i would be the type of person to transfer... yet that's what i'm doing!! i originally went to a school i really didn't want to because i received a lot of merit money to go to (i was very close to taking out lots of loans and going where i wanted to)... i was unhappy initially with the decision, and everyone told me to try a year and then transfer. despite being upset, i thought inwardly, "there's no WAY i'm going to transfer! once i'm there, i'm there"... yet, things didn't work out this way. i was far too unhappy to stay there, so now i am transferring and very happy about it.

just a suggestion - dont go to your school in the fall with the mentality that you are going to transfer, then there is very little chance you will actually like your school at all!

but - if this helps - lots of people do transfer nowadays, so you won't be alone if you do :)

nice suggestion there...

By the way, I really find my community college such a great school; I really appreciate the chance I have been offered there to be able to transfer and attend my dream school; I also meet wonderful students and helpful professors (many of them are actually UCLA graduates, I have known at least 4 professors with Ph.D degree from UCLA).

Where do you go now, IloveCA? How are you doing so far? Do you miss your CCC?
