So, everyone on here is totally obsessed with transferring to the best schools & seemingly talking smack about schools that, in my research, aren't even half as low-on-the-grand-scale as the school I'm going to now (CSU Northridge). Recently saw a post about a guy saying he did horribly in HS & had "no choice" but to go to SUNY Stony Brook. Boy, talk about type-A personalities, whatever those are, I guess hyper & driven?

Anyway, I'm now trying to get beyond the whole "get into a top-ranked college" thing and am in my 1st semester at CSUN right now. Of course, I really wanted to go to UCLA and had it pretty much in the bag in 2007 after doing the Honors program at my CC (also got admitted to Berkeley, UCSD, UCSB & others), but I virtually freaked out at the last minute and got a D in course, didn't finish the Honors program and my admission to UCLA got revoked. Yes, I know, the Ivy League hopefuls are losing their air supply, gasping from my obvious lack of discipline at this point ;)

Soooo, I chased after UCLA for 3 more years, finishing the Honors program and doing whatever I could to get back in, but it did no good. Budget crisis or whatever, all California schools are going to hell.

But hey, any other "interesting" transfer stories out there to share? Does anyone else here go to CSUN, by the way?

Oh, and don't bother pointing out that I didn't really have a point here. I know it already. Thanks!
