<p>when you apply to stanford do you have to apply to one of the schools? (eg. school of engineering, school of earth sciences,ect)?</p>
<p>As I recall, you only list your intended major. You are accepted into whole University before you have to make up your mind what discipline your plan to go into.</p>
<p>You list your intended major (or you can put undeclared), but Stanford does not consider major in its admissions. Thus, you don't apply to any specific schools. Once you get to Stanford, you have two years to declare your major.</p>
