I was filling online application, and it did not have essay
Where can I put my essay?? Help please

And, my counsler told me to apply really early, like before nov
But rolling admission ends nov 30th. If I apply in oct, is it gonna help?
I was gonna apply on nov 2nd. Is it gonna make difference?

I am applying as engineering major but if I choose summer semester,
Is it gonna help me? And do I have to choose summer semester? Or
If I choose fall semester and do they send the request form to summer program
If they don't think my spac is enough?

Applying earlier is better esp if OOS and when we attended Summer day at Penn they said saying yes to summer start on the app is helpful. There are a lot of apps to Penn and every little bit of edge helps.

If you only select fall semester, you will only be evaluated based on their fall admission standards. If you don’t make that cut and haven’t indicated you are willing to attend summer session, they won’t automatically consider you for summer - you will just get denied. (You will likely be offered a slot at a branch campus, if you selected one.)

So most people - especially those who think they may be on the bubble - check both summer and fall, just to be on the safe side.

You may be right that you can only check one answer on that specific question (I can’t recall). But if you check out the current online application, there’s a question (it’s on page 4 of the application worksheet) that asks if you’d like to be considered for summer session if you don’t get fall.

I believe this is a change from the wording in previous applications. That’s a good thing, because the past wording was a bit misleading/confusing, and caused problems for some applicants (including my S), who qualified for fall admission but ended up being offered summer based on their answer to the question as it was previously worded. In our case, our S was able to start in the fall instead, but there were probably many kids who started in summer when they didn’t need to.
