I'm a junior right now, and I think I can get my SAT scores up a lot if I take some time over the summer to really study for them. I want to take the October SAT's, but i was also hoping to apply early to a few schools... When do scores for Oct. come back? Do they come back with enough time to apply to colleges early action/early decision? Thank you!

I had the same exact question as you.

They do come back in time for EA applications, which are usually early november, and you get your scores back mid/late October.

And make sure when you apply EA/ED, that they aren’t binding admissions, or you’ll get in trouble for applying to several. (though I don’t know the consequences…)

Thanks so much, that helps me a lot.
And yeah I won’t apply to any single-choice EA if I do ED…just haven’t decided yet!

the problem with october SAT when you apply early is that you might have to send the score to the colleges without even seeing it. If you do not actually improve your score, then you cannot take advantage of score choice

^^

Of course, don’t most admissions boards look at your best score?

I believe it says on the collegeboard website that October is late enough for the EA and ED admissions.
