These questions ask for the level of education the student's mother and father completed. I know the answer to this question sounds obvious, but what would you check off if a parent finished a 2 yr. community college program? a) college or beyond or b)other/unknown . The reason I ask is this: I've read about schools that like to admit kids who tend to come from underrepressented groups and whose parents did not have a college education. Basically, they like to admit kids would be first generation going to a four year university. So, that being said, I thought perhaps checking off "other/unknown" would be to our advantage. Anyone know if it matters?

Answer for the highest level completed. If you didn't complete college, you should answer high school.

This doesn't affect federal aid, but might affect state aid or college aid in some cases. It won't impact the EFC, not part of that calculation at all. Since 29 and 30 don't have a place for "two year college program", I'd answer "high school." Probably won't make any difference, though.
