I heard that in the ACT tests, you have the choice of whether you will send your scores to the colleges on your registration sheet after you recieve you score, is that true?

If not, could someone please tell me what is the policy about sending scores in ACT tests?

Thank you.

Yes, its true.. don't put your High School either they might send the scores as part of your transcript. It's great you can take it and choose what to do.

can you choose NOT to send your scores even though you've already put down the colleges to send score in registration sheet?

no, it's too late.. your GC should have told you otherwise. I would call the ACT board and see if somehow you can stop them from sending it as the scores have not come out yet. Sorry I didn't read your post more thoroughly the first time.

I just called ACT and oh well... very disappointing indeed...
I didn't do too well in my reading section.
Can someone tell me if these four colleges look at your BEST score or COMBINED score or the score FIRST time?

Brown U
U of Washington
Rice U
and U of Michigan

Thank you.

...so how did u get ur scores already??? general_li...better?

some ppl said they got their scores already...but i called and the lady said scores havent been sent out yet...how how how!?!?!

Those of us who got our scores already had to pay an eight-dollar fee for a service called "View Scores Early." We got our scores online on the 21st.

there's no other possible "free" way?!

lol no..the free way is to wait for them in the mail

$8 a call, gal, are you kidding me??? That's way out of my financial range :D

I didnt do too well on the reading comp section because i had only 3 minutes left for my last 10 questions (i had to wing it so i kinda knew that i didnt do too well)... but other than that, i did pretty good on other three section (i did dam good on math section... ;))

The scores should be mailed to home and school and colleges 4-7 weeks after the test dates and there's no other "free" ways to get your scores on the net and phones for now!
