I have some questions about the college applications:
1) If we are filing out the common app on the internet, do we mail in separately our resume along with the letters of recommendation? Or is there a place on the common app website where we can attach things?
2) Are all letters of recommendation supposed to remain private? meaning I as a student can't see it?
3) if we need three letters of recommendations for a particular college, and say we are applying to 7 colleges total, are you supposed to have your teachers printout 7 copies of the letter and give each of them 7 stamped envelopes? which will be a total of 21 stamped envelopes that you would have to prepare. Or can I put all three letters into one big envelope?

1) You can attach the document to your online application - go to "Writing Supplements" and scroll down to the box that says "Additional Info".

2) Yes and no. Most schools want letters in sealed envelopes so they know that students haven't read or tampered with them. However, notice that on the recommendation forms there's a box where you can choose to release the right to read your rec. Colleges hang on to old files, so if you check "no", you could theoretically go back and read your rec once you get in.

3) You could ask your teachers to give you the letter in a regular envelope, unstamped and unaddressed, with a signature across the seal. Make sure you know which recs are in which envelopes. Then you can mail them yourself in seven big envelopes.
