questions about deans scholarship

does anyone know if you can upload a google drive as part of the deans scholarship application/project.. for example a video etc..

thanks

I really am not sure. My impression is you have to send them a thumb drive or a CD, or maybe post something on YouTube and provide them with the url. To be sure, you better call admissions. Let us know what you find out one way or the other.

Where would you upload it to? You have to fax or mail the application in. Whatever it is that you have saved on your google drive you should probably burn to a disc or save on a flash drive and attach those.

Since the scholarships are “due” December 15, does that mean postmarked by 12/15? And since it falls on a Sunday, would it have to be postmarked by Saturday?

Yes, it is a postmark date. You will have to check with admissions to see if they are extending it to Monday or if it has to be Saturday.

I contacted admissions and they said it must be postmarked by Sunday, meaning Saturday.

OK, thanks for checking that out sosocollege.

I called admissions too and they said they would extend it to December 16.

Oh no, conflicting replies. Personally I would try very hard for Saturday just to be sure.

I am sending mine straight to my admissions counselor, same for the Paul Tulane Award essays. She said this would be easier for her than sending a disc/flash drive (I did a video for the deans scholarship).
Not sure if all admissions counselors would prefer this, but I would check because it definitely makes things easier than downloading it onto a dvd. Saving any video projects to youtube and a dvd is probably a good idea… I am going to do both in case they need to see the project in a different way.

I faxed this morning and got confirmation this afternoon that all is there. Faxing is old-school but the do accept it.

I also spoke with the admissions department and was told by 2 different people that the scholarship applications must be postmarked by tomorrow. So that’s what we are going by…
