<p>Hi. Trying to decide which dorm to prioritize. Heard newing has a rep for being frat and sports oriented in the past. Has this been true this year after it reopened? Can frats block out a floor or dorm section? Love the idea of semi private baths, but not sure about party atmosphere.
Any help is appreciated.</p>
<p>I’m curious about this too. I don’t think it will be dominated by frats anymore since it is new and there are probably a LOT of new kids applying to the new dorm. I ended up putting newing first and CIW second but I think newing should be fine.</p>
<p>As the Head of Housing said this weekend at the admitted student day, every dorm turns over 30% (I think that was the figure) with a new batch of freshman each year, so its hard to say there is a “type” of people in a particular dorm.</p>
<p>So many people are trying to live in the newest dorms that the reputation may change.</p>
