My daughter and another incoming freshman girl have requested to be roommates (they met at a local UMich meet-up). They are also both applying to an MLC. What happens if one of them is accepted to the MLC and the other is not? Can the student who is accepted to the MLC decline the offer? I am not encouraging this, as I think she should accept the MLC offer, if she gets one, even if her preferred roommate does not. But she is thinking ahead and worrying. Thanks.
it says on the housing website that MLC overrides roommate requests (I suppose if both are not admitted to the MLC). I wish my son would do an MLC just for the better housing, but he’s a Ross pre-admit and doesn’t want to!
Thanks. Yeah, we saw that. But she really wants this roommate and is concerned whether she can decline the offer of the MLC.
