Now that he was accepted into LHS, my son is having second thoughts. He says he’d rather be in the same boat as typical freshmen, instead of being tied to an MLC. What will happen if he declines the housing contract offer? Will he be penalized in any way (like having to go to the “back of the line”), or just be put into the lottery like everyone else?
Call the housing office and find out. I think he will be put in the regular pool if declined MLC though.
I believe that he would go to the “back of the line” based on what I remember hearing on Spring Welcome Day.
