Questions about Northeastern's Business School

I was accepted into Northeastern’s N.U. IN program EA, and I am happy about this because I was really interested in the N.U. IN program to begin with.

I was wondering if a degree from the business program was worth the price of the school, specifically the degree in International Business and Foreign Affairs. Are there a lot of strong Co-ops for business? And how well do graduates of the business school do after graduation? Northeastern is honestly my dream school and is overall one of the best schools I applied to, and I feel like some other schools won’t be able to offer me the same experiences as NEU. If I go to NEU I will have a lot of debt, but how good is the ROI, and jobs after graduation. I am trying to determine if it is worth it in the long run. Especially due to the fact that this is the nicest school I originally applied to.

I also applied to the business school at, BU, Fordham LC, Skidmore, American, GWU, Drexel, and UConn, but I feel none of them compare.

BU business school is of similar level. If you like Northeastern’s co-op, it would be the best choice among your listed schools.

When you say a lot of debt what do you mean? $30,000 total is doable. $100,000 total, no school is worth that much debt.

The debt would be closer to a 100k that is why I am worried. I just wanted to know if I commit to NEU if it will be quicker to pay off through Co-ops and the type of job I will land after graduation. I also live close to a major city and won’t have to pay rent if I choose a co-op in the city.

IMO no undergrad program is worth $100k in debt…

Hi, quick question. As a business administration major, when do you declare your concentration(s)? TIA.

You choose a concentration towards the end of freshman year.
“As your first year draws to a close, you’ll take an important professional step and declare a concentration in at least one of our principal fields of business.”

yeah I know ;(, trying to realize maybe it may not be worth the debt.

I would definitely agree. $100,000 is just far too much debt for an undergraduate degree, relative to the benefits. It’s good you’re seeing it now. It’s easy to get excited when you get that acceptance letter. And it can be a hard blow when the financial aid package tells you no. Bright kids make bright professionals no matter where they go to college.
