Questions about required documents for non citizens for admission

I applied for UT Austin and on the admission status check under supporting credentials, it says that " Financial Documents : Proof of adequate financial resources is needed for immigration documents (not required for admission)."

It says that it is not require for admission but I don't understand why is it asking for these documents on the admission status check page.
But my question is what are the documents that I have to send them?
I am not a US citizen and I have a visa here.
Is this related to the IRS form?

Go here: [New Students](http://www.utexas.edu/international/isss/students/new/)

In Financial Requirements paragraph you can click on and review the form. If you already have a visa that will remain valid through college, you may not have to do it.

You need to talk to the foreign student advisor. They will walk you through all of the requirements.
