Questions about scholarship money from Rutgers (NB)

hey can anyone tell me about scholarship money they got from Rutgers besides the full ride...i know a couple of people from my school that got at least $2,500 from Rutgers and their SAT scores weren't THAT high...on what basis did they get this money?

is there any chance of me getting ANY scholarship money from Rutgers?
i got a 1990 combined on my SATs, i have a 3.95 GPA, i took challenging classes including AP classes and i'm in many extra cirricular activities...

Perhaps thay got it because of financial need.

Seconded. Rutgers doesn’t seem to give out very many scholarships besides the full ride.

Last year Rutgers had a chart and depending on a combination of your SAT and class percentile, they did award merit scholarships on a sliding scale beginning at $2500 (not just free rides). This year the chart is gone but they do mention that to be considered for merit you should have at least 1950 SAT, so your scores should be high enough to be considered.

mamajay that is not totally accurate.
They say that there is no ‘set’ score in scholarship decisions.Rather they now look at the whole of a student’s record(ecs,grades,sats,etc…).They consider all who submit an essay.However they are indeed competitive.

yeah the chart that they had was SAT scores (math and reading). minimum was like 1400 which was like 5000 dollars if u were top 10% 2500 if u were top 15/20? and it goes up from there. 1450, 1500, 1550 sat score. math and reading of course.

BUT i hear they are taking writing section too… so im sure they’re changing it.

wabbitro ,minimum was 1300 and 25% rank=>2500$
