Questions about the financial world.

Hello, I didn't know what would be the best forum to post this in. I am a senior and trying to get a little headway into my future. At first I wanted to be a lawyer but now Wall Street has been grabbing my attention. Basically, let's head into a hypothetical world here.

Pretend like I snagged that elusive I-banking job out of college and decided to get my J.D. after two years or so. Would this give me any advantage except some cash?

Alright let's say I went and did the Management Consulting track or the Ibanking track and got accepted to a top-tier business school and earned an MBA instead of J.D., could I get the same jobs, e.g. interchangable jobs with MC and IB. Like:

2 Years of MC
MBA-top-ten in Finance

Could I snag the same job as someone with Ibanking instead of MC? What exit opprotunities does MC hold?

What do all these Wharton kids do after they finish analyst? Just work in finance departments?

I am very interested in money management. What would be the best path to Hedge Fund Manager? Could MC provide the same oppotunity? How hard is to make partner in MC?

Also, what are the advantages of a joint MBA/J.D. degree in the real world?

I'm not saying this for the money, I am genuinely interested in this world as a good, descently enjoyable future career.

Any answer would be strongly appreciated. Of course this all assumes everything goes perfect. Thanks for your time. I hope this came off as understandable and not jibberish. I'm sure if you take the time to answer, this could be an invaluable resource to others as well. Sorry for grammatical and/or spelling errors.
