First, I would like to know what you guys think my chances of getting in are (planned Bio major at the moment):
ACT 34
1500 SAT CR + M (Only 2160 overall though)
3.98 GPA
Many APs
Should be a NMF
Going to Germany do conduct research for 6 weeks this summer
Various sports and clubs
Highly competitive school in South Carolina

Second, I have some questions about the program itself. If you are in it, how do you enjoy it? Do you think it is worth it?
What is honors housing like? I know you live in IV but are the dorms nice? Are they suites?
Anyone that is part of the Scholars Program, how does that differ from Honors?

I would really love to go to Northeastern as it is my first choice, but money is going to be an issue. What are your overall impressions of Northeastern?

If you are a NMF you will automatically be upgraded to the honors program once you designate Northeastern and decide to attend.

Honors housing is very nice - IV as a freshman and West Village for upperclassmen IV is singles or doubles connected by a shared bathroom - so you only share the bath with your roommates and suitemates. The building is new and air conditioned and has a great dining hall on the first floor. West Village is also new and are apartment style - singles or doubles with shared bath, kitchen, and living area.

Scholars program is more selective and full tuition, NMF is $30,000 a year - room and board is expensive - you are in a major city.

My daughter has friends who currently get full tuition but still complain about the high cost (one dropped out to attend a cheaper state school after his first year).

Nothing is a lock. I was a 2320 SAT Valedictorian with good extracurriculars and essays and I wasn’t initially accepted to honors (I requested to be on the honors waitlist and eventually got in though).

When is the honors move in date for Fall 2014?
It is supposed to be about a week before First day of class… (Sep 3rd).
I want to know what is the earliest arrival date to purchase the one-way ticket.

You will be sent the exact time and date of move-in - you could call reslife and ask what the move in honors date is this year but they won’t give you your time (which can be anywhere from early in the morning to 7 pm at night)
