Questions considering Track& LOR

When applying to colleges, how do I prove that I made top 7 on my school’s history for JV track?

Also, when is the right time to ask anyone for letters of recommendations?

Very impressive! You can’t really prove it- they have to take your word for it. Of course, if anyone was caught faking something like that, they would be rescinded by any colleges that accepted them. You could ask the teachers that you are requesting recommendations from if they could mention it in their letters, however!

You can ask for letters of rec. anytime. Some teachers are appreciative of students asking well ahead of time so they can get started on them right away, and some will wait to start on them until the school year is in session. Ask for recs anytime you’re comfortable, but keep in mind that teachers may check their school email infrequently over the summer.

The UCs don’t require LORs (except Cal and Ucla, and that’s only if they request it).

As of last year, only UCB requested LOR’s from some of the Freshman applicants. If you are asked to submit a supplemental from any of the other UC’s, LOR’s can be included. Supplementals are usually request for Borderline applicants and applicants with special circumstances and disabilities.

Some the UC’s will also allow LOR’s if you are placed on their waitlist.
