I am having a college interview soon and I was just looking for some suggestions as to what questions I should ask and what I should bring? Thanks :)

You don’t have to bring anything. You can bring a resume or send it later. As for questions, make sure they aren’t anything that could be easily answered by visiting the website. Remember that this is also a chance for you to get information for your decision. You can ask the interviewer what they like best about their school, how are they different from other schools. You could also ask about registration procedures, what are the most popular majors, undergraduate research programs, participation in study abroad, etc.

Bring a resume and offer it to the interviewer, don’t be upset if they don’t want it. Some will, some won’t.

Your questions are a golden opportunity to show you’ve done your homework and have thought about what it would be like to be a student at that school. That’s why nobody can tell you what to ask; it really depends on your interests and what the specific school offers. The questions a prospective music major might ask would differ from someone interested in English or engineering; so might someone really into volunteering have different questions from someone who wants to study abroad.

Ask them what made them decide to go to the school, what clubs they were in, what classes they enjoyed, how they think the university today compares to the university when they went there (since they’re involved with the college so many years after, they probably know a bit about what campus is like today), etc.

Thanks! It went really great :)
