Jasonlee576, for the record, I have looked at the Muir site many times. It's not explicitly stated but might be borderline-implied by some of their statements that AP credit will help with GE's. No harm in asking again. I'd like to think that my post with genuine questions has more content and place on this board than your ranting about how a certain school will be sorry they didn't accept you. The second question I asked regarding the amount of courses a person is allowed to take each quarter is not addressed on their site and an answer to that would be appreciated still.

Also, what I choose as my screen name doesn't concern you. If you feel a need to start a p1ssing contest over who has the cooler name, do so at your leisure. I'm sure everyone has their own little reason behind their names and I have mine - ridiculous as you feel it may be.

Now let's return this thread to what it's meant for, college stuff, not pre-pubescent bickering that should be left on Youtube.

You must be borderline illiterate, because I'm looking at the AP chart for Muir, and it tells you specifically what classes each score exempts. If you were intelligent, you'd check what GE's you need and match them with the chart. But then again, you want US to do it and tell you, right?

Typically, students take 16 units (4 classes) per quarter. Some people take more, some less. You can take up to 22 units without having to petition.

(but you can only register for 19.5 prior to the quarter -- and once the quarter starts, you can go up to 22 units. college approval is required to exceed that, but they give it out pretty happily.)

I admit I've given my share of snarky comments, but I don't think that anyone's posting on here out of stupidity. Lazy maybe, but all freshmen are clueless -- some just more vocal and paranoid than others. :)

Not sure why everyone feels the need to be hostile. If you look at the course exemption charts for other schools, you'll realize that just because the course is covered by the AP score, it doesn't mean that it can be used to cover a GE. It doesn't hurt to make sure instead of assuming something when you're trying to figure out what you're going to do with yourself. Not everyone wants to just jump into the college pool confused as to what's happening.

Thanks to SterlingTFX and Astrina for actually addressing the question rather than just rehashing substance-less things that have already been said.

sorry Mickey Mouse if you felt any hostility from me. I just didn't seem to understand how you couldn't find out that information for yourself. Nothing personal.

haha, yeah, i'd be unlikely to add a complete stranger. but it won't be the first time i've befriended someone off CC -- just introduce yourself in a message or something :)

PS -- it sounds like your facebook habits will be harder to kick than mine! at least we didn't have facebook until my sophomore year. :P i remember the exact day, too -- my friend at cornell emailed me the link and at first i was like, ***? i'm so tired of friendster.
