Ok i just read through the entire 23 pages of "CURRENT BRUINS to take questions!" thread, and I could see quite a few questions being asked about the biz/econ major, but not much answers were given. The thread was just flooded by questions on Honors Program and Residents Choice, which are absolutely important (they helped me understand quite a few things. ex: The main reason why Honors Program is good for you is the Priority Enrollment at classes), but aren't really the questions that I was looking for.

So regarding BizEcon major, I got couple of questions:

1.) What's the avg. size of the class (in terms of number of students, not the size of lecture hall/classroom) for Business Econ major courses? Is it big or small compared to other courses?

2.) How competitive are the students? In another word, how hard is it to get an A in the class? Is the Bell Curve incredibly difficult?

3.) How big is the courseload? Are they mostly essays or are there plenty amount of homework you have to deal with? Also, do BizEcon students have "life", or is the courseload incredibly ridiculous that they have to sit in their desk all day and struggle to catch up with their homework/essays/studies/etc.?

4.) Is it worth to be in the Economics Honors Program? I heard all you do is writing a huge research paper (30-40 pages) about topic of your choice. Is it worth all the effort and time to do it? What's the benefit of doing it besides getting some special recognition in the graduation ceremony?

I'll come up with more questions, but for now, i think these are enough questions to bother you with ;)
thnx in advance~
