Can two of them be both science area? For example? Chem and Physics or Chem and Bio?

I hope so...all I have is Math, Writing, Chemistry, and Physics. I hope I don't have to take more...

I thought Chem and Physics are counted as one field.. I don't know. My daughter is taking US history because we thought she can not take Chem and physics on top of Math IIC.

I'm interested in hearing the replies of experienced parents or those in-the-know about this. At the Ivies we toured, the party line was "We take the best 3 SAT II scores no matter what they are in". And clearly, the AI calculation does not differentiate between subjects, it's just the top 3 SAT II scores (not percentiles) divided by 3. But everyone on these boards keeps alluding to "balanced" subjects. My sense is that this is not true, but the topics of SAT II should parallel your projected major now that there's a writing section to both the SAT I and the ACT. If you want to be a science major, this would seem fine.

This is from the Harvard website:

To satisfy our application requirements, applicants must take three SAT IIs, and students may choose any three subjects, with the exception of the English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT). Applicants may wish to convey the breadth of their academic interests by taking tests in different subjects.

Please note this statement is for Harvard only, not the other Ivies, and it worded as a suggestion, not a directive. Still, if I were applying to Harvard, I would take this as a hint, but of course, the choice is yours and you can take whatever Sat iis you like.

I'm applying to engineering sciences. It's not ok to take Math 2 C, Physics, and Biology?
