Questions on Literature and History

Hi, I'm in a dilemma right now. I'm a middle eastern student, and I have converted to studying American School Diploma 3 years ago. My state university requires me to do 7 SATII exams, I know, 7 wow! (No SATI required, though). I need an average of 780-790 on the 7 tests. I already did Math IC , Biology E, Chemistry, Physics, Literature, and World History. I'm taking the Math IIC in January.

My first question is, I already administered the World History test once and I've got a disastrous 480 on it, is it better for me to do it again in the hope of a MINIMUM of 760, or should I switch to doing the U.S History test although I don't know ANYTHING about the U.S.?

Btw I didn't learn English until I became 15 years old, and I guess I'm very good at it now (compared to someone who didn't know ANYTHING in English 3 years ago).

My second question is, what is the best way to get prepared for the Literature test? The first time I went unprepared and got a 450 (I skipped half of the questions also)

My scores in all the other tests are 780+, my test dates are in January, May, and June.
I will do MathIIC in January. I have May, and June left to try to score as high as I can on those two tests, I need your advices regarding those 2 questions.

Thank you in advance.

I took the Literature test with about two weeks of studying and got an 800, so I think you can definitely pick your score up without too much trouble.
I’d suggest getting the Kaplan Literature book (it has the most practice tests), learning their vocabulary words (use Quizlet), and then taking every single practice test in a timed environment. Just finishing the test will put you way ahead of the game.
My big advice here would be to practice your speed reading/skimming. Just find any newspaper article and try to read it in two minutes or less. If you can get there, you should be fine.
Best of luck, and congrats on learning English so quickly and so well!
