I was just wondering what technique everyone recommended to use for CR. I have always read the passage and then looked through the questions, but I've read a lot of people's comments saying that they read the questions and then skim the passage. CR is my weak section so any help with how to approach the passages would be great. Thanks.

It really depends on what works better for you. Try the questions-first-passasge-next approach on one of the CR sections and time yourself. If you don't feel like it's for you, stick to passages first.

first leave the questions that ask the whole idea of a passage to the last, even though it might be the first one after the passage
then read the passages with constant referring to the questions that refer to specific lines.

I mostly agree. First determine what works best for you. However, I just skip straight to the questions dealing with line references. By the time I've done those, I'll have a decent idea of what the main idea is about. Then I can start tackling those questions and read a bit around for the context. If you get two passages that are compare contrast, elminate the answers that you can based on the information given in one passage (eg, Q: both of these passsages talk about . . . after which you eliminate the answers that the first passage doesn't talk about at all)
