<p>How important is the prestige of college one goes to, in the eyes of medical school admissions committees? It seems that GPA, recommendations, etc. are very important, and doesn't a student have a better shot at getting top grades and recommendations at a good but not "ivy-calibur" school, where he/she can shine? </p>
