LOL, I didn't even know what the SAT was back then.

I am yet another Duke TIP particpant.

yah i took it in 7th grade and got an 1130

hellz yea...CTY 8th grade
Math: 700
Verbal: 570
those were the good old days...

Yeah, I never heard CPY mentioned in junior high. My friends and I were just invited to take the SAT for practice.

I took it for Duke TIP in 7th grade and got some medallion and award for a score of 980! lol. I think it was because I got >550 in math.

How much have your guyses scores gone up since 7th/8th grade?

..what do you think i'll get if i got a 1600 this year (8th grade) :)?

(without studying .. also i didn't know that answering questions incorrectly lost you points)

I took it in 7th for the Duke TIP program.

Yeah, 7th and 8th.

Yes, I took the SAT in 7th and 8th grade (1130 and 1250 respectively). Through John Hopkins, right?

My 7th grade score-- 950 (old SAT)

My PSAT score sophomore year-- 1150 (old SAT)

My PSAT score junior year-- 1280 (old SAT)/1940(new SAT)

My score mid-junior year was 1350(old SAT)/2050(new SAT)

... yeah, pretty drastic improvement

Trust me, your score will go up naturally with time. At least from middle school to high school. With no work or studying whatsoever, my score from the 7th grade Duke TIP to the summer after 8h went up 200 points. After minimal studying (about a month), it boosted another 200. Most of my friends, though in different degrees, have seen the same results, too.

Eh. I'll try next year (8th grade), as it's obviously too late now.

Probably gonna be taking it at UC Berkeley (UC Irvine runs the Talent Search program, though).

Yeah, I took it for the John Hopkins talent search thing. I got a 1240/1600. I was smarter back then though, and then I found Mr. Heineken.

Wow there's eight graders here who at 970s and are complaing about how horrible their scores is. Wow...fun life.

Yup, 7th grade.

I don't want to discuss the scores, hahah.

Yup, I also did it through Johns Hopkins CTY in 8th grade and got 1290. It kind of makes me sad because I suppose I started off really well so my parents had expectations for a perfect score and I totally did not get one.

7th grade SAT- 1290 (old)
8th grade SAT- 1990
sophomore PSAT- 221

I haven't "prepared" for the tests at all (other than take english, math at school), it'll naturally go up with time :)

i took it in 9th grade-2050
