How much did your score go up from seventh-ish grade (that's when I took it for TIP) to your PSAT, and from your PSAT to your SAT?
I just took the PSAT (10th grade) and am looking for an idea of what I could expect to see in the way of change.
Also, it's sort of an interesting topic.
Thanks!

^^ this is the thread you're looking for

Though that thread doesn't seem to include PSAT scores. Here are mine, at least:

8th grade SAT: 600 M / 710 R
11th grade PSAT: 760 M / 800 R / 800 W
11th grade SAT: 700 M / 800 R / 800 W

^Hey, you live in Vermont! Where do you go?

~290 points from 7th grade to 10th grade
(with adjustments made for old SAT vs. new SAT).

i took it for john hopkins

from 7th to 11th grade(practice SAT tests) in CR a 250 pt. increase(450/700)
from 7th to 11 grade(practice SAT tests) in math a 240 pt. increase(560/800)

yeah, its a lot of change i guess and hopefully i can do a lot better on the real thing...

good luck to those taking it soon!

7th grade 660 Math 590 Verbal
Last year psat 200
Frosh year SAT 2050.
I just took the psat, i THINK i did quite well

8th grade: 570 CR/590 M/610 W
10th grade: 710 CR/600 M/690 W

I increased 300+ points from 7th to 8th grade! Haha, no other scores applicable yet. It's just natural brain development I think, I didn't really study either time, so for freshmen and sophomores who are worried, don't. You'll get better, your brains are still growing :)

I think almost 400 points from 8th to 11th. :P

8th: 400-something CR / 500-something M (900-something)
10th: 600 CR / 710 M / 680 W

Forgot what I got on 7th grade SAT--prob. just average (900-1000 or s/t)
8th grade PSAT was crappy, like a 156
10th grade PSAT wasn't great either: 186
11th grade PSAT rocked! 221.
11th grade SAT 2230.
:]

^ Nice little success story :)

7th: 540CR 590M - 1130 Overall
9th PSAT: 62CR 68M 62W - 198 (130 CR+M)
10th PSAT: 68CR 80M 76W - 224 (148 CR+M)
11th PSAT - 76CR 80M 71W - 227 (156 CR+M)
12th SAT - 770CR 800M 720W - 2290 (1570 CR+M)

So, a 440 point increase from 7th to 12th.

8th grade SAT 1830

I got 1730 in oct. of 9th grade

I remember i took an SAT class last summer, when I was entering junior year. This little kid was in it as well and he was entering 9th grade. And wow I felt like a total idiot. That kid was pulling in 1980's on his first try while I was doing 1800's BARELY.

Is it true that the last 200 points are the hardest to gain? Like if a person got around 2200 in middle school, would it be really difficult to get a near perfect in junior/senior year?
