<p>hello, i am a junior and i would like to ask my teachers/counselors for recommendations. for teachers, i was planning on asking my english and spanish teachers, but i heard that some schools require science/math recommendations? as background, i'm definitely NOT going into a science/math subject, i'm probably going to major in business or law. thanks!</p>
<p>As long as your two recommendations:</p>
<p>1) are from teachers who know you well and enjoyed teaching you,
2) are from core subjects (math, science, English, history, foreign language, etc.),</p>
<p>then you are fine.</p>
<p>If you are applying to a specific major, such as engineering, some schools will want to see a math or science teacher recommendation. Caltech and MIT would probably like to see those as well. But since you are not interested in those fields, don’t worry about it.</p>
