Quick Deadline Question that many of you might have

Alright, if it says

"February 1

Financial Aid: All aid candidates must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if they are using the paper version. Regular Decision candidates must submit the Columbia Application for Need-Based Financial Aid."

Does that mean we have to submit the FAFSA to the processor by Feb. 1 or they have to RECEIVE IT by Feb. 1? From what I know, there is like a 2-3 day delay from when you send and when they receive am I not correct?

Thanks!

Its best to submit the FAFSA as soon as possible, but as a practical matter, colleges probably give about a week's grace period -- so if you file on 2/1 you probably will be o.k.
