<p>Hey guys! so i'm in the proccess of filing out the NYU transfer app and it's asking me what college of nyu i'm applying to. I'd like to get accepted to the university first and then audition for tisch. it says sthat ifyour undecided send it to arts and sciences. i'm definately decided on musical theatre sooo should i say i'm applying to arts and sciences then set up an audition with tisch? or should i just apply directly to tisch?

<p>At NYU, you can only apply to ONE college. If you want to audition for Tisch, you have to apply directly to Tisch. If you apply for Arts and Sciences, you will not be considered for Tisch. If you apply to Tisch, you will not be considered for Arts and Sciences. </p>
<p>Soooo…do NOT apply to Arts and Sciences. Apply to Tisch (since you want MT and want to audition). </p>
<p>By now, you should have set up your audition though. NYU/Tisch is not one of the schools where you must file an application first in order to schedule your audition. I HOPE there are audition slots left and if there are, your choice of dates may be more limited. Go online or call and make your audition appointment right away!!! (even if your app is not done)</p>

<p>OK, still it is a good idea to line up your audition appointment and not wait until you send in your app. I wish you much luck. Tisch is a wonderful place.</p>
<p>I think I’ve read elsewhere that audition slots fill up often before applications are due- so don’t delay!</p>

<p>Another mom here to confirm the importance of scheduling that audition ASAP! The scheduler has been available since October 1 and those slots fill up VERY quickly, even for transfers. Please, do it now! :)</p>
