My soon-to-be college freshman is tutoring 2 hours per weekday and working in our yard one hour a day for pay (no jobs to be had for her) and one hour around the house for no pay. her younger (HS junior) brother is studying two hours a day to test out of two classes and working two hours a day at home, one hour of which is for pay (paid yard work for an hour and unpaid housework for an hour). We think of both situations as part time employment, 20 hours a week.

Hi. Just checking in to see how it's going.

diamondbacker, interesting response. I can appreciate their concern with the outrageous costs of higher education.

shrink, hope you're joking here. Of course it's yes or no. The breakdown at the one post was to show that some of the NO votes were due to actively searching and wanting employment as opposed to choosing not to work.

Aeneas, nothing wrong with bagging. Money is money. Good for you.

Wish I could work, but no one's hiring :(, especially if you're under 18 with no experience. I applied to about a dozen places, barely any responses...only rejections.
