I'm just wondering because a lot of my friends haven't heard back yet, and the ones that have got the two specified.

Thanks.

Everyone says that there's supposed to be like the word Regents Scholar in WordArt on the "Congrats" page but I didn't get one so I guess I'm one of the few who didn't get Regents but was notified early.

I don't think the notification e-mails sent out last Friday were "early notifications". Some of my friends didn't get the Regents' Scholars, but some did. I'm pretty sure it was sent out by majors because everyone that got it were either Biology, Chem, Engineering, or something related.

I applied under Business Admin, and although my stats aren't "WOW" amazing, based on my school's high standing, I should have at least gotten acceptance considering many of my fellow classmates with much lower stats and EC's got in.

Acceptances from Irvine are known to come out in batches based on majors or other factors, all the way until the end of March. I don't know if the notifications later will include Regents, but I think it should. Or else it just doesn't make sense, right?

^My daughter's major is in the humanities. She got accepted Friday.

Yea, my friend in Economics got in too. I think it all depends on majors. :)

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I applied undecided and got in over the weekend with CHP and Regents. I don't think it's by major.

I'm pretty sure what people mean is that it's CHP and Regents people of all majors and regular admissions by major.

@MiqueMaus - That sounds right :) I got in too. I applied for Engineering. But I didnt get Regents or CHP - Then again, I am an international, so I am not really sure if I qualify for Regents.... Just one more thing, how are the alumni scholarships decided? Any other internationals here, who got accepted? And do internationals need to file a FAFSA????

^^
I'm an international and I got CHP+Regents for Comp. Science. Internationals can't file FAFSA to get federal aid, but we could file it to get state or institution aid.

Oh! Thanks :D

"I'm pretty sure what people mean is that it's CHP and Regents people of all majors and regular admissions by major."

Then I'm really confused... Why do some way-over-qualifying students not get an admissions e-mail? Others with even the same stats and ECs and everything got it because they had a specific major.. like engineering, chem, bio, or a social science.. like polysci or economics.

All others didn't get one... it just doesn't make sense to me to say that they only send CHP emails to people with those majors.
