Quick Question about Courses.

<p>So I'm using the online Schedule of Classes and I see this for a particular class:</p>

<p>As I understand this, the class meets on Mon, Wed, and Friday from 2:10 to 3 PM.</p>

<p>Since the class meets 3 times a week for an hour (for lecture), where does 2 hours of discussion/workshop fit in? Is this something optional? Or will the class require us coming in at another time (besides MWF 2-3P)?</p>

<p>your first quote is referring to the lecture, which meets 3 times a day for an hour (well...50 min w/ berkeley time) each. The two hours of discussion come from the "Discussion Section", which you also sign up for. If you look at the class schedule, the lectures are in blue, then the disc & labs are below the lecture, in black. You choose the lecture and discussion/lab that fits your schedule.</p>
