quick question about RPI medal

<p>Hey- the web page for Rensselaer Medal program doesn't specify the
deadline for the nomination. My school isn't one of the participating schools
so I informed my already-busy counselor, and I was curious about when the deadline is,
because apparently, we have to send in a form to get our school on the participating list before our school can send in nominations. When exactly is the deadline??</p>

<p>Also-- if I get nominated, do I receive this award/medal during graduation...?
as in, MY graduation (which is NEXT school year....) or the graduation this year? Or do i only receive the award once I enroll in Rensselaer?
I don't know what the procedure is....</p>

<p>The award is for juniors. At our school, recognition is given at the awards ceremony in early May; I don’t know what other schools do. The scholarship money is deducted from your tuition at Rensselaer, so no one is going to hand you a giant check…although that would be nice.</p>

<p>As for the school’s deadline for nominations, you’ll need to get that info from RPI itself. Maybe you could compose an e-mail that your incredibly busy counselor could forward?</p>
